Day of the procedure
Grafts are removed and placed under local anaesthetic.
First ten days
Scabs come away with washing and the scalp settles.
Weeks 2–8
Some of the transplanted hair falls out. This is an expected stage.
Months 3–4
Fine new hair starts to grow.
Month 6
Hair thickens and the change becomes visible.
Month 12 and beyond
The result is largely in place. For some people it takes up to 18 months.

FUE hair transplant
Grafts are removed one by one and placed into channels opened beforehand. Often chosen for larger areas.
DHI hair transplant
Grafts are placed with a pen-like tool, without opening channels first. Used for areas such as the hairline.
Beard and moustache transplant
Thin or bare patches are filled to suit your face shape.
PRP treatment
Plasma prepared from your own blood is injected into the scalp. It can also be planned alongside a hair transplant.

How long does the procedure take?

When will I see the result?
New hair usually starts to grow from months 3–4. The result is largely in place after about twelve months, later for some people.
Is everyone suitable for a hair transplant?
No. Your donor area, type of hair loss and health are assessed. The doctor makes the decision.
