FUE hair transplant

In FUE, grafts are removed one by one, usually from the back of the head, and placed in thinning areas.

How is it done?

First the hairline and treatment area are planned. After local anaesthetic, grafts are removed with fine tools. Channels are then opened and the grafts are placed in them.

Who is it suitable for?

People with a sufficient donor area and established hair loss. It is often chosen for larger areas. The doctor makes the final decision after an examination.

Recovery

Redness and scabbing can appear in the first days. Scabs usually come away with washing within ten days. Small dot-like marks form in the donor area and fade over time.

Common questions

Does FUE leave scars?

It does not leave a linear scar like the strip method. Very small dot-like marks can remain in the donor area.

Do I need to shave my head?

FUE usually requires shaving. We will discuss the options during your assessment.
