In DHI, grafts are also removed one by one, but they are placed directly with a pen-like tool, without opening channels first.
How does it differ from FUE?
Graft removal is similar in both methods. The difference is in placement: FUE opens channels first, while DHI opens the channel and places the graft at the same time with a Choi implanter. Which is better depends on the person. See our FUE and DHI comparison.
When is it considered?
For example at the hairline, in small areas or between existing hair. Over large areas, time and cost can increase. The doctor will advise based on your donor area.
Recovery
Recovery is similar to FUE. Scabs usually come away with washing within ten days.

Can DHI be done without shaving?
In some cases the treated area can stay unshaved. It depends on the size of the area and your donor area.
Does DHI look more natural?
A natural look depends less on the method than on hairline design, graft direction and density planning.
