Hair transplant aftercare
This is general information. The instructions you receive personally always come first. Only use medication and supplements on your doctor’s advice.
The first three days
- Do not touch or scratch the treated area.
- Avoid heavy work and exercise.
- Follow your doctor’s advice on smoking and alcohol.
- Sleep with your head raised.
First wash and scabs
We will show you when and how to wash. Do not pick the scabs. They usually come away with washing within ten days.
Shock loss
After a few weeks, some of the transplanted hair can fall out. This is an expected stage. New hair usually starts to grow from months 3–4.
